FAQs

What is a wedding consultant?

A wedding consultant is like a wedding concierge: someone who will give you all the inside scoop on where to go, what to do and how to get there. Someone who is an expert and will give you all the tools and guidance needed to plan your wedding. The biggest difference between a wedding consultant and wedding planner is a planner will be there to assist on your big day and a consultant will not.

Can I hire you to be my wedding planner too?

Sparks Fly Wedding Consulting does not offer wedding planning services but can recommend some excellent wedding planners.

How long are the meetings?

The first meeting will be up to 3 hours and the final meeting is 1.5 to 2 hours.    Additional meetings will vary but the average is 1 to 1.5 hours.

What will we talk about at the first consultation?

I will give you the following documents that we will then fill out or talk through:

  • Wedding Planning/Vendor Booking Timeline
  • Essential To-Do List
  • Wedding Day Timeline
  • Reception Timeline
  • Wedding Planning Complete Checklist
  • Essential Tips & Reminders to make your wedding day run smoothly

I’ll also answer any questions you have and help guide you through the best way to plan your day so it fits your style and runs efficiently.

Who can attend meetings?

Only the engaged couple and one other person who will be assisting with the planning may attend meetings. The only exception is the final meeting when up to 2 additional people who will be helping at the wedding may attend.

Where do meetings take place?

It is recommended that the first meeting take place at your home because it is going to be long and you’ll want to be comfortable. You can choose to meet at someone else’s home with the understanding that you and your fiance are the only ones attending. Subsequent shorter meetings can be held at a coffee shop or other place of your choosing if you prefer.

How many emails are allowed each month?

All packages include 5 emails per month except for the first and final months when it increases to 12. Unused emails do not roll over into the next month.
